Brazing

Brazing is not technically a heat treating process. Rather, it is a joining process, similar to soldering or welding, that uses a “filler metal” to join “base metal” components together. Different forms of brazing include: torch brazing, furnace brazing (atmosphere or vacuum), induction brazing, dip brazing, resistance brazing, and infrared brazing, all of which require different types of equipment.
