Seven years ago, Scott Roberts entered Bodycote Thermal Processing’s business from his work as a sales representative at AMI Metals. Scott demonstrated enormous growth, starting as account manager and quickly contributed to a 10% YOY sales growth.
After just two years, Bodycote’s S3P was looking to expand its sales team, and Scott was selected based on his prior performance. Scott adapted to the S3P business and quickly learned the high-tech process in a niche business focused on treating stainless steel. Taking on the marketing specialist role for Bodycote’s S3P business, Scott continued to grow and has developed the technical proficiency of a materials engineer coming from a non-engineering background.
Scott is now the marketing development manager at Bodycote Thermal Processing where he manages the representative network and has seven direct reports as a part of a group looking for additional growth in 2021. Scott has a certification in Effective Business Presentation with PowerPoint as well as a certification from Dale Carnegie Training for Effective Communication and Human Relations. Scott is focused on educating engineers about the technical advantages of Bodycote’s proprietary process Kolsterising®.
