Mark Hemsath is a nationally recognized expert in aerospace heat treating and advanced furnace technologies, bringing more than three decades of leadership across vacuum systems, surface engineering, and complex thermal-processing applications. Throughout his career — including serving as President/CEO of a major furnace and technology company — Mark has guided global teams in the sales, product development, marketing and commercialization, and deployment of high-performance systems, software, and services for aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial manufacturing.

Mark’s equipment and processing expertise spans from sophisticated aerospace vacuum systems to aerospace coating systems, to precision gas and ion nitriding, Ferritic Nitrocarburizing (FNC) in automotive, to Low-Pressure Carburizing (LPC) with a strong emphasis on R&D, software and controls, and systems design.  He has developed hydrogen thermal processing systems, burner and combustion systems, worked with clean-atmosphere high temperature processing, incineration and pollution control, and large-scale turnkey equipment installations. He has overseen the design and modification of some of the industry’s most advanced furnace systems, including specialized roller hearth furnaces, one of the largest gas nitriders ever built, and various vacuum and aerospace coating systems. His technical depth is complemented by a long history in sales and marketing of heat treating services and systems, authoring technical papers, delivering webinars, and contributing to innovations in metallurgical processing, furnace automation, and surface-engineering technologies.

In his role as Executive Consultant, Mark provides our clients with high-level technical insight, engineering guidance, executive management, business development strategies, sales and marketing oversight, and strategic support on heat-treating processes and advanced furnace selection criteria. His blend of hands-on engineering experience and executive, operations and sales leadership strengthens our ability to deliver best-in-class solutions for complex, mission-critical applications and technical sales in North America.

Mark holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Toledo and a B.Sc. in Business from Miami University, further supporting his combined technical and strategic approach to industrial technology development and sales.
