Briefly:

Since 2011, Jon Tirpak captured over $363M in applied research and development programs by applying ValueSelling Associates™’ Value Prompter®.  These multi-year programs addressed pressing needs of industry and government especially within the defense sector. Companies benefiting from these collaborations included airframers Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman; gas turbine engine companies including Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Honeywell; leading aerospace metal suppliers such as TIMET, ATI, Arconic, Materion; premium part fabricators such as ATI Forging, Arconic Propulsion, PCC Casting; and modeling and simulation software firms. Upon winning these programs, Jon instructed, led and coached various teams in investigating, developing, testing, and deploying innovative technologies for cost reduction, system improvements, and returns on investment ranging from 3:1 to 10:1 for clients across the Nation. For the Defense Logistics Agency, Jon’s leadership within forging supply chains resulted in millions of dollars of cost savings as a result of the National Tooling Database hosted by IHS. On average for every legacy forging die located, the taxpayer saved $18,000. With hundreds of dies located each year, this database paid for itself while enabling forges to advertise their inventory of forging die inventory 24/7.

By addressing business and technical issues facing the India Space Research Organization in 2016, Jon co-created a bi-annual conference for India to identify, prioritize, and fund critical materials technologies for the Indian space program which competes internationally in launching payloads for other nations. In 2019 the Indian defense ministry is pursued a similar initiative as a result of Jon’s demonstrated use of VSA’s ValuePrompter.®
