For Tyler Davis, stepping into leadership at ESC Induction meant more than taking on a new position. It meant guiding a family business through one of its most difficult periods while preserving the legacy of his father, company founder Shawn Davis, and determining what the next chapter of the organization would become.

Tyler’s connection to induction heating began at an early age through his father, a respected figure in the induction heating community. After college, Tyler joined the newly formed ESC Induction as an engineer, gaining firsthand experience with custom induction machinery, heat treat applications, and process optimization. He later moved into engineering and maintenance roles at other industrial facilities, intentionally broadening his experience and gaining a valuable perspective on the challenges manufacturers face when operating and maintaining production equipment.

Tyler eventually returned to help lead the company, and after his father’s passing, he provided the stability needed to carry the company forward. He did more than maintain what had already been built. Under Tyler’s leadership, the company has expanded its capabilities and strengthened its presence in the North American induction heating and heat treat industries while remaining committed to its founding mission: helping clients improve productivity while reducing energy consumption. That principle is embedded in the company’s name — Energy Savings Crew (ESC) — and continues to influence its approach to custom induction systems, engineered solutions, and service.

Tyler brings a practical engineering perspective to leadership. His experience inside manufacturing facilities allows him to understand the realities facing their clients, and he works closely with them to develop solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

At the same time, he has become the steward of a family legacy. Tyler has preserved the values and client-focused culture established by his father without allowing the company to stand still. His ability to honor the company’s history while continuing to innovate and grow it demonstrates the resilience, technical knowledge, and vision that will shape the next generation of the induction heating industry.
