As vice president of sales at Akron Steel Treating Company, Joe has helped expand the company’s market presence while strengthening relationships with clients and reinforcing a culture built on trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement. His entrepreneurial mindset has led to innovative sales strategies and new opportunities for growth, all while maintaining a strong focus on delivering exceptional client service.

Education has become one of Joe’s defining contributions to the industry. Since joining Akron Steel Treating, he has taught the company’s "Heat Treatment for the Non-Heat Treater" program, helping clients better understand the value heat treat brings to their products and manufacturing processes. He believes educating manufacturers is one of the most effective ways to increase appreciation and respect for the industry as a whole.

Joe’s commitment to the profession extends beyond his company. A graduate of the Metal Treating Institute’s 2024 YES Program, he is also an active member of the Akron chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association, serving on committees and working closely with local machine shops and business owners to strengthen relationships throughout the manufacturing community.

While proud to continue the legacy established by his grandfather, Joe is equally focused on helping write the company’s next chapter through innovation, collaboration, and a genuine passion for advancing the heat treat industry.
