In just nine years, Dan Sabo has established himself as a transformative leader in the heat-treating industry. After earning his bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from The Ohio State University in 2016, he joined Parker Trutec, where his leadership, technical expertise, and vision have driven measurable improvements in quality, safety, and operational performance.

A graduate of the Metal Treating Institute’s YES Management Training Program, Dan honed his industry-specific business management skills, sharpening his problem-solving methods and team development strategies. One of his most impactful achievements has been overhauling the company’s quality management system—implementing standardized processes, performance metrics, and a proactive quality culture that reduced defects, enhanced interdepartmental collaboration, and ensured continued ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Dan’s technical acumen is evident in his plant-wide improvements. He redesigned production areas to streamline workflow, increase safety, and optimize equipment utilization, leading to higher throughput and operator efficiency. He also oversaw the installation of advanced shot blast equipment, significantly improving part appearance and process consistency across multiple product lines.

His revitalization of the preventative maintenance program — through the launch of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) — brought organization and clarity to maintenance tasks, increasing equipment reliability and reducing downtime.

As leader of the engineering team, Dan fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. His mentorship has strengthened team performance, improved quality, and accelerated project timelines, ensuring that Parker Trutec’s engineering department remains a model of sustainable success.
