A graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Ben Tackett has built a 10-year career marked by technical expertise, leadership, and innovation in the heat treat industry.
He began his career at Vesco Industries, where he specialized in vacuum furnace manufacturing and service, gaining hands-on experience that would form the foundation of his technical skill set. Ben joined McLaughlin Furnace Group several years later, progressing from engineering manager to his current role as chief operating officer.

Renowned for his comprehensive troubleshooting abilities, Ben works directly with clients to quickly resolve complex equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. His leadership has also been instrumental in driving design enhancements across McLaughlin’s product line, improving functionality, serviceability, and overall reliability.
