Starting as a process engineer at Nitrex straight out of college, Eric quickly developed an impressive portfolio of carburizing and nitriding thermal cycles for a wide range of ferrous alloys, part geometries, and load sizes. His work didn’t stop at creation; he also optimized numerous existing cycles to balance perfect metallurgical outcomes with cost- and time-efficiency, all while expanding his technical knowledge at a rapid pace.

Today, as a metallurgist at NSL Analytical Services, Eric applies that same drive to excellence while guiding his peers. Known for his patience and ability to adapt explanations to a person’s strengths, he ensures complex metallurgical concepts are understood and applied correctly. His approach combines technical rigor with accessibility, whether he’s breaking down why a job failed a specification or explaining unusual equipment behavior under unique conditions.

Eric also serves as a lab supervisor, overseeing technicians and delivering technical guidance to clients.
