Jesse Lawrence – Heat Treat Today 40 Under 40

Jesse Lawrence’s career at Ipsen USA is marked by his self-motivation to learn, his readiness to support his team and new employees, and his excellent job performance that has clients requesting him for future projects. Jesse started his time at Ipsen USA as a temporary employee, completed the Titan Tech. training program, and was hired full-time after 120 days. For approximately four years, he performed the duties of a Titan Tech. at a high level of competence, and then bid on a field service engineer (FSE) position. Having transferred into the new position without previous experience, he has learned new tasks on a continuous basis from equipment installation to commissioning.
Today, he is one of the “go-to” guys for new development of specialized equipment within the Service Department and supports mentorship of and training for new FSE employees. Jesse supervises contractors and skilled trades personnel during equipment turnkey installation projects. He has also supported new product development programs and the release of new equipment into the field, including Ipsen Titan, T2T, brazing, walking beams, and Thermo press cell equipment. Jesse’s excellent work has also commended him to clients, who have requested his assistance on future projects, and on several occasions they have even rescheduled projects based on his availability.
Not only has Jesse been nominated as “Employee of the Quarter” multiple times, but Ipsen USA’s Chief Service Engineer shared, “It is not an understatement to say that Jesse is one of the single most capable Field Service Engineers in all of vacuum heat treating today.” Jesse’s future goals are to achieve a Senior FSE position, to continue supporting development and implementation of new and complex projects, and to continue supporting the training of new FSE’s. Considering Jesse’s track record as an avid learner and leader committed to excellence, no doubt he will accomplish them.
