Derek Walsh is known in the heat treating industry for his methodical approach to solving problems with a smile on his face. Derek has been with Super Systems, Inc. for 10 years as technician of Field Service. Derek is involved in all areas of modernizing heat treat facilities by commissioning process automation in all disciplines, including carburizing, ferritic nitrocarburizing, nitriding, carbonitriding, vacuum, and solution/aging heat treating. At Super Systems, Inc. Derek has played a key role in CQI-9 and AMS2750 compliance for captive and commercial operations, ranging from the largest automotive supplier to the multigenerational, family-owned business.

Derek is a key member of the Systems Group and is involved in maintaining and elevating the solutions Super Systems, Inc. provides to the heat treating industry, as well as assisting with the on-boarding process of new team members. In order to do this, Derek serves as a mentor to new team members on project management, field installation, and customer service. Derek has gained the heat treating knowledge needed so that he is well-equipped to handle any installation and support required of customers. On a daily basis, Derek works on the front lines providing the quality work and support customers in the commercial and captive heat treat industry expect. From project management to installation to training and support, Derek repeatedly meets the goals and needs of customers. His projects repeatedly come in on time and on budget with a satisfied customer.
