As principal materials engineer at Solvus Global and business unit manager of Powders on Demand, Joe enables specialty heat treatments, custom size distributions, and unique powder blends while delivering on various production needs including rigorous quality control with each shipment. Due to Joe’s dedication, Powders on Demand is on track to pass key financial metrics for 2021.

His breadth of achievement alludes to his exemplary engagement with customers and robust technical knowledge of materials and manufacturing. With the expansion of Powders on Demand as an online e-commerce platform, Joe’s contributions to the industry are ten-fold as his efforts provide reliable and replicable materials to both commercial and R&D organizations. His research publications on cathode materials, feedstock powder, and cold spray performance spark new ideas and bring awareness to the community. In five short years, Joe has been able to transform expectations of next-generation additive manufacturing solutions.

Among his other accomplishments, Joe has received the Editor’s Choice Award from the Journal of Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (JOM) where only 5% of all the articles accepted by JOM receive this designation. Additionally, he serves as the vice president of Battery Technology for Kinetic Batteries. He has also previously led a team of project specialists on aircraft engine and fan blade coating initiatives at QuEST Global.
