Adam Richey is an example of passion and dedication. Over the past eight years he has groomed himself with his dedication to go from a pyrometry tech supporting outside services to leading the now in-house pyrometry team at Specialty Steel Treating. He leads a team and oversees more than 80 furnaces and is flawless in his execution of the most stringent AMS specifications.

The accomplishments and hard work that Adam continues to produce are hidden in the background as many are focused on product or perhaps sales dollars. He has trained himself and taken initiative to attend training throughout the country and through online courses. He has become a company expert in pyrometry (AMS) and is certified in Heat Treatment & Energy Saving from MTI. He was a key player in launching an internal tracking and reporting system that minimizes production downtime as a result of pyrometry. His dedication to Specialty Steel Treating and the passion he pours in has helped Specialty Steel Treating continue to navigate through audits pertaining to pyrometry.

Beyond the daily grind, he is a great peer and family man that is always willing to lend a helping hand.
